My story was pretty typical until I was 29; you know, met a guy, had a baby; met another guy, got married, had a couple more babies; did office work, blah, blah, blah. I worked at Donrey in the tax department for awhile and at Valcom computers and then for my bro-in-law setting up his business. THEN, I was introduced to AOL! Chat rooms were brand new back in 1991 and so was AOL (sure wish I'd have bought some stock!) Anyway, I met a man in an AOL chat room and ... very long story short ... got divorced, moved from Fort Smith to Port Arthur, TX ... and now I'm in Minnesota! Okay, very, very, very long story, extremely short! LOL

Today, I'm with the same man I met on AOL 19 years ago; I graduated with Honors from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul in 2008 with 2 Bachelor of Science degrees (Marketing and Business Administration); I'm currently a graduate student at the same university in the MBA program. I'm 1/2 way through and hope to graduate in May 2012.

Brenda Ford was my best friend and had been since 4th grade. I remember going to school in her car (a maroon Malibu, was it?) and going to parties. She was much more behaved at parties than I was! There's a pretty good chunk of my Senior year weekends that I don't remember!)

Besides Brenda, I had a lot of friends that were Juniors and Sophomores. For some reason, I always liked younger guys back then. (Strange, since my husband is 12 years older than I am!) I remember I was in LOVE with Alan Rutledge and he had a best friend Lonnie Poston. Now, all I remember about Alan is that he played drums and he loved the group Rush!

Ah, for the carefree days of High School, when all we had to worry about was if we'd studied enough for Mr. Hon's test or whether or not HE was going to be at Mr. Burger at lunchtime! :-)
